BEHIND OUR NAME

Alles, like all other names of preceding cabinets, carries a double meaning. The "ES" at the end of the name calls to mind the "European Studies" program, which we are to represent. We have also incorporated the legacy of taking into consideration both streams of this program - French and German.

Alles, meaning "all" in German, brings forth our goal to unite all students under this program, be it year 1,2 and 4 students currently in Hong Kong, year 3 students studying abroad or, furthermore, graduates. The name also connotates and references the German greeting of "Alles in allem" meaning all the best. This cabinet will be giving its best to strive for the welfare of our members, organizing activities throughout the year to cater for the needs of our members in terms of their well-being under this program.

Furthermore, our logo deliberately designs the "s" in "Alles" to look like a flipped "z" referring to the word "Allez" in French. Allez, meaning "go!" does not only portray our team as one, but also brings a vibe of youthfulness and energy, perfectly defining our cabinet. Alles or Allez, the two are merged as one, as we celebrate the cohesion between our members from both the French and German stream.

Alles, giving you our all, and uniting all.
